Forged from History. Built for the Next Generation.

This knife is more than a tool.
It is a starting point for a legacy.

Each Custom Legacy Knife is handcrafted in our family shop with the intention that it will be used, cared for, and eventually passed down. These knives are built for hunters, outdoorsmen, cooks, and parents who want to give something meaningful to their kids. Something with a story behind it, not just a price tag.

The Story Behind the Steel

This journey started with Isaiah.

What began as a young boy watching every Forged in Fire episode while learning to hand-file bevels and shape blades with an angle grinder turned into a shared mission between father and son. We moved from hand tools to a small 1x30 belt grinder, then into building our own 2x72 grinder that was gifted by an overgenerous customer! That gift became the cornerstone of Isaiah’s workspace, now a dedicated corner of my shop built specifically for his work.

Today, Isaiah does the majority of the hands-on craftsmanship.
Dad’s role is oversight, guidance, and quality control. The glorified QA supervisor.

These knives are not mass-produced.
They are not rushed.
They are not flawless, mirror-perfect $500+ show pieces.

They are handmade with care, character, and intention.

Heritage Steel, With Options

Our base steel is upcycled Wisconsin sawmill blade steel, chosen deliberately for its history, toughness, and honest carbon steel performance. It carries the marks of a working life and represents exactly what this project is about. Reclaimed material given new purpose.

For customers who want to collaborate more closely on their build, we also offer premium oil-quenched carbon steels as optional upgrades. These are selected for edge performance and durability, while still being heat treated in-house using traditional oil quenching methods.

No stainless hype.
No gimmicks.
Just proven working steels.

How the Process Works

  1. Choose your knife size and design path

  2. Select either Designer’s Choice or Collaborate With the Maker

  3. Tell us how the knife will be used and the story behind it

  4. We review your order and confirm details before work begins

Because these knives are built by a student craftsman with hands-on parental oversight, we only take on a limited number of builds at a time.

Current lead time: 4–6 weeks

School schedules, family commitments, and running a separate business all factor into this. That limitation is intentional. It ensures every knife gets the attention it deserves.

Important Notes

These knives are handmade and may show minor variations or character marks. That is part of the story.

We will reach out to confirm details on custom etching or personalized requests before proceeding.
